| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: practical, creative, and influential. The three careers that match my style are: cartoonist, pediatrician, and photographer. From this information, I have decided to explore becoming a pediatrician. I selected this job because I enjoy kids and being helpful. One of my daily activities as a pediatrician would be to give checkups to little kids. I also have to prescribe medicine when they're sick. In addition, I have to explain procedures, like surgery to parents,guardians, and kids too. To work as a pediatrician, I need to have Doctorate of Medicine. I must be good at writing and listening in order to become a well trained pediatrician. In the United States, the average salary for a pediatrician is $153,370per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $144,956. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a pediatrician is expected to increase by more than 20%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 12.7%. I am looking forward to becoming a pediatrician in the future. |
